As you all know, I'm in Salt Lake City for World Cup # 5.
I created this temporary weblog to keep you all updated, since I won't have access to my computer to update ApoloPortal.net.

The weekend was a whirlwind of activities, thrills and excitement. Watching Apolo and all the other skaters compete was amazing!
This article from Ron Judd, of the Seattle Times, sums up the World Cup wonderfully: Ohno has his groove back on short track
I was able to take over 100 pictures of the competition and will post them as soon as I am able. I don't get back home until Wednesday afternoon, so you can probably expect to me to post some pictures by Thursday.

Latest updates:
I was able to attend team U.S. practice yesterday and the press conference afterwards. The practice was amazing, just watching all the athletes (The Australians practiced at the same time as the U.S.) Everyone was really laid back, kind of just hanging out on the ice. After practicing a bit with my digital camera, I got some ok pictures. I'll share them with you as soon as I can!
Thanks to April, from OhnoVelocity, here's a transcript of one of the questions that Apolo was asked at the press conference:
1 - Seattle Reporter to Apolo
Reporter: "There was a story, Apolo, about you actually at the olympics signing autographs for famous people that you had seen on television, can you tell us of anyone famous that asked you for your autograph?
Apolo: "I'm not gonna give no names [everyone laughs]. I might get in trouble. Naw, but, like I was invited to some of those celebrity parties, and um, you know, I thought it was a good idea if I stop by...[unintelligable] [everyone laughs again]. But it, uh, it was fun. You know, and for the most, they're just people though, I mean just like everyone else. But it is, it's, I was in awe, ya know, that I was even at the oscar party, to see all these people walkin' around, I'm just like, I just got this cheesy big smile..."
